Happy Holidays!
I find it hard to believe that it is almost Thanksgiving! I haven’t posted in a full month, and I know that is a terrible sin out here in the blogosphere, but I’ve had my feet firmly planted on the planet Earth, and I absolutely do not regret it. I have been traveling with some wonderful friends and have had so many amazing adventures in the past month.
I spent one day and one night in Miami in a whirlwind of shopping, dancing, flirting and fine dining. Then I was off to Las Vegas in my role as Lady Luck – which I played quite well, as at least one dear friend can attest. A colleague and I took off on a miniature overland adventure, where we were able to see wild elk by moonlight, document working conditions in the rural Nevada brothels, march for LGBT rights, and do outreach to the mainstream feminist movement, all in two short weeks.
Now I am in the Midwest, visiting family and old friends for the Thanksgiving holidays. I have been blessed with the opportunity to see both of my parents, as well as my nephew, who is four and growing so fast. I am always amazed by the speed of his development. His grasp of concepts that were completely unknown to him four months ago is just humbling.
It’s time for yoga and a cup of green tea.
XOXO,
Aina
